Red Mountain Energy to Participate in BBTC 2012 Conference

From 16-19 April 2012, the Lotte Hotel, Moscow, will be the venue for the 7th Russia & CIS Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference and Exhibition (BBTC 2012) . Russia BBTC is the only event for Russia and the CIS market dedicated to the latest economic trends and technology developments for upgrading crude oil residues in Russia & CIS. The co-organizers of the conference, Euro Petroleum Consultants are holding the Projects Forum within the BBTC 2012 framework.


The program of activities at BBTC 2012 is tradictionally wide ranging and includes a number of round-table discussions, workshops and meetings which will be attended by representatives of major oil and gas companies, engineers, process engineers, specialists from allied industries, process and ancillary equipment suppliers and leading industry experts.


Red Mountain Energy will take an active part in the BBTC 2012 program. Albert Sultanov, the company's Chief Process Engineer in charge of oil processing, will present a report called, “Heavy Oil Residue Upgrading Processes in Field Conditions”. He will focus on the processing of heavy crudes, and the difficulties and obstacles that engineers encounter and he will explore ways of addressing these problems using the latest heavy oil upgrading process (HOUP) methods which make it possible to upgrade heavy crude oils without the application of diluents or line heaters, while significantly improving raw product characteristics up to the conventional crude oil quality level.


The strong technical programme, also a tradition at BBTC, will focus on the latest developments in thermal processes, hydroprocesing, gasification, RFCC catalysts and technologies and equipment for resid upgrading.
