Red Mountain Energy to Supply Equipment to the Caspian Flat Glass Plant in Dagestan

Red Mountain Energy will supply equipment to the Caspian flat glass plant in Dagestan through Premium Engineering, its strategic partner in Russia and the CIS. This turnkey project is part of a large-scale investment program in the Republic of Dagestan for the construction of a new flat glass manufacturing plant.

Red Mountain Energy has signed a contract to deliver air separation units for the generation of nitrogen and hydrogen to be used in the glass production cycle.

Hydrogen and nitrogen are used to prevent the oxidation of molten glass while it cools down and settles into shape.

The scope of delivery includes a gaseous nitrogen generation plant, a hydrogen plant, centrifugal turbo-compressors complete with electric motors and control systems, cryogenic storage tanks and various ancillary equipment.

The construction of the 600t/d Caspian flat glass plant is expected to give a major boost to the economic development in the whole region. The commissioning of these new production facilities will create new jobs, improve employment opportunities and contribute to the overall development of the Republic of Dagestan and the whole region of the Northern Caucasus.
